Cost-effective student residence accommodation is available to those non-student presenters who indicated that they would like to make use of it, at their own cost. This will be supplied by the Durban University of Technology (DUT) about 10 minutes away from the conference venue, with buses taking delegates to the conference venue at the Southern Sun Elangeni and Maharani Hotel.
If you are still planning on making use of this accommodation, we would like you to confirm this by the close of business on the 4th of November, so that we can secure places for you at DUT.
The rooms are a mixture of single, double and 3-sleepers; linen is provided, however delegates will need to bring their own towels, as well as their own padlocks and keys for the doors.
In terms of meals, lunches and teas are provided at the conference for all delegates. Those staying in residences will have meals (breakfasts and dinners, with the exception of dinner on Tuesday the 6th of December as this is the night of the gala dinner for all delegates) provided, at a cost.
If you are planning on staying in residence accommodation, this can be booked through me. The cost of this will be R200pp per night for just the accommodation.
The cost of meals for the conference will be R560pp, and covers the following:
- Monday 5th of December: breakfast & dinner
- Tuesday 6th of December: breakfast only (dinner for all delegates at the Gala Dinner – Elangeni)
- Wednesday the 7th of December: breakfast & dinner
- Thursday the 8th of December: breakfast only (field trip day; packed lunches will be provided for all delegates)
